One Billion Rising is an energetic event celebrating the strength of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. A celebration of courage, the One Billion Rising Campaign brings together a dynamic group of CSU students to dance, sing, and send a message of support to survivors. One Billion Rising occurs around the world in February. This semester, CSU Rising will happen on Thursday February 12th and will be a performance in the Student Center at 11:30. We are calling you to rise and dance to make a statement of support to people in the community who have experienced sexual, gender, and domestic violence. An example of the song and dance can be viewed through the link below!
Commitment to One Billion Rising includes attending a minimum of 3 dance practices (with many options for practice times available to meet your needs). Performing with us the day of event is also required. No dance experience is required. We are excited for your interest and to welcome you into the One Billion Rising community!
