SELECTION PROCESS:
Ohio Amended House Bill 24, effective July 26, 1988, provides for appointments of students as non-voting members to the State Universities Boards of Trustees.
Each year, five candidates will be selected from the CSU student body; from these the Governor’s Office will choose one student to serve a two-year term.
Three of the five candidates, if eligible, will be the Student Government Association President-elect, Vice President-elect, and the Student Bar Association President-elect.
Two additional candidates will be recommended by the SGA Student Appointments Board to the Student Government Senate – which will review and ratify the candidates with a 2/3 majority vote.
All five applications will be sent to the Ohio Governor’s Office by the President of the University. The Governor will appoint one student from the five applicants to the CSU Board of Trustees.
Final candidates may be contacted for an interview by the President of the University (or designee).

CV gives freshman the opportunity to learn about CSU’s heritage, history and traditions. Students will also be taught about the many things to do both on and off campus. They will learn how to get involved in campus activities, the numerous academic support services and resources available to them, and how to be successful their first year at CSU.
Camp Vike will take place at Punderson Manor and all participants are required to stay for the duration of the camp and pay a $10 nonrefundable fee to hold their spot. Financial assistance if available for those who qualify.
Please note that the first 50 students to fill out this application, turn in their waiver and pay the $10 deposit will be guaranteed a spot at Camp Vike and notified upon receipt of all documents. Once those 50 spots are filled, the remaining 50 spots will be notified by Monday August 5.
